Frequently asked questions

Why would I play a song backwards?

Musicians use reversed audio for creative effects — reversed cymbal swells, backwards guitar solos, ambient textures. It is also the classic way to check a track for backmasking, and honestly, hearing your own voice reversed is just fun.

Does reversing change the quality?

No. Exporting to WAV only reorders the samples — the audio is bit-identical to the original, just backwards. MP3 export re-encodes once at your chosen bitrate.

Can I reverse only part of a song?

Yes. Select the part you want on the waveform, set the mode to Keep selection, then hit Reverse — only that section is exported, backwards.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The reverse button and the waveform both support touch, and the export downloads directly on iOS and Android.

Is reversing really free and private?

Yes — no signup, no watermark, no limits. The reversal happens in your browser with the Web Audio API, so the file is never uploaded anywhere.
